Festival of Wildlife

Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 May

10am - 4pm - FREE ENTRY (small charge for some activities)

Celebrate the work of Somerset Wildlife Trust at this Festival of Wildlife to help you find your wild life!

Hedgehogs, barn owls and wild flower meadows are amongst Somerset’s most loved wildlife and habitats and there will be lots of activities, games and information to find out more.

You can also find out about new and fun ways to get involved with nature conservation, including rock pooling events on the coast and volunteering on wild flower meadows.

You can:

Create homes for hedgehogs, make clay hedgehog pencil holders, and find out about the Trust’s Knit for Nature campaign, which involves knitting hedgehogs for the charity.

Follow the nature spotting trail around the grounds, to win the Hedgehog Award, and play barn owl and frog games.

Find out about wildlife friendly gardening, opening your garden for charity, and volunteering on some of the county’s finest wild flower meadow nature reserves.

Investigate Somerset’s Curious and Creative Coast with experts on hand to identify some of Somerset’s most hidden wildlife.

Please note - the dates in the Gardens and Events Guide 2016 for this event are incorrect. The correct dates are Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 May.
