Outdoor Theatre : History of Britain

Saturday 19 July, 7pm

Mud, blood and stiff upper-lips! It's the (almost) complete History of Britain as you've never seen it before.

Join the critically-acclaimed Pantaloons Theatre Company for a breathless race through the centuries in this delightfully inventive open-air show, and see the whole story of our country told in less than two hours!

Expect royals and rebels; hangmen and  highwaymen; knights, fights and men in tights (well, until trousers were invented, anyway).

Have you ever wanted to see the life of Henry VIII as a romantic comedy? Or the story of Lady Jane Grey retold as a puppet show? Perhaps you have always hankered to see the tale of the Spanish Armada as a musical? Well, look no further as The Pantaloons' History of Britain realises all of these dreams and more!

This historically hysterical show is packed with songs, sketches and silliness and is suitable for all ages.

"An energetic and playful romp through the centuries." (Mail on Sunday)
