Events

The Walled Gardens hold a variety of events throughout the year suitable for all age groups. Standard entry fee and opening times applies unless otherwise stated. Please phone 01278 655042 or email [email protected] with your contact details to receive a copy of the 2011 events guide. Saturday 12 February 2011 - Floristry Demonstrations

Come along to floristry demonstrations with Neil Bain, Programme Manager for Horticulture and Floristry at Cannington Centre - 2pm at Clifford Hall (next to the entrance to the Walled Gardens).

Tickets cost £5 each — available at the Walled Gardens of Cannington Shop. Combine your visit with a tour of the gardens, tea rooms and plant shop.

Sunday 6 March 2011 - Lambing Sunday

11am - 4pm at Rodway Farm, Cannington. See the newborn lambs, children's activities, sheepdog displays, trailer rides, pets corner, farm tours, plant sales, refreshments and much more! £3 per adult, £2 per child, £10 family ticket (2 adults, 3 children). Dogs not permitted. The tea rooms and plant shop will be open for this event.

Sunday 27 March 2011 - £1 plant sale

Come and see the wide variety of plants the walled gardens, with selected plants for only £1 on this day. The gardens grow about 85% of the plants onsite in the greenhouse.

Sunday 3 April 2011 - Mothering Sunday

Enjoy a visit to the Walled Gardens - Mums go free! Mums will also receive a free gift (while stocks last). Normal entry fee applies to other visitors.

Friday 22 April to Monday April 2011 - Easter Plant Sale

30% off all plants during Easter. The gardens, tea rooms and plant shop are open for Easter including Easter Sunday.

Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 May - Wedding Fair

Saturday 21 May & Sunday 22 May 2011 - Somerset Garden Festival

Garden trade stalls including Somerset Gardens Trust plant sale on the Sunday. Plant doctor with advice and guidance on any pests or gardening problems you may have. Free entry.

Saturday 28 - Monday 30 May - Mystical Mind, Body and Spirit Fair

10am - 4pm. Variety of different mystical stalls, readers, therapists and healers. Free entry. Talks, workshops and demonstrations in Clifford Hall (additional charge). Suitable for all the family.

Sunday 5 June 2011 - National Gardens Scheme (NGS) Open Day

Gardens are open for charity through the National Gardens Scheme.

Saturday 11 June 2011 - Cannington Summer Fair

Sunday 19 June 2011 - Father's Day

Free entry and free gift for Father's who come along with their child.

Sunday 26 June 2011 - £1 plant sale

An outdoor performance of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream.
