Events

The Walled Gardens hold a variety of events throughout the year suitable for all age groups. Standard entry fee and opening times applies unless otherwise stated. Please phone 01278 655042 or email [email protected] with your contact details to receive a copy of the 2011 events guide. If you are interested in attending any event as a stall holder, please contact us on the above number with your details.

Saturday 17 September - Cannington Horticultural Group - September meeting

This is a new group formed to share knowledge, information and ideas on horticulture and floristry using the facilities and expertise at Bridgwater College's Cannington Centre.

11am - Free horticultural practical. Sowing seeds, selecting cuttings and propagation with Nigel Cox.

12:30pm - Free Floristry/Flower Arranging - Christmas preparations with Neil Bain; with just over three months until Christmas now is the time to start getting ready. Prospectus folding to make a Christmas tree, wrapping presents and festive adornments that can be used for dressing and decorating.

Sunday 18 September - Wedding Fair

10am - 4pm. FREE ENTRY.

In the beautiful surroundings of Clifford Hall. Wide variety of stalls offering everything a couple will need for their special day.

Monday 24 - Sunday 30 October 2011 - Halloween Extravaganza

10am - 4pm each day. Free entry. Bring all your little muggles along for some witchity fun each day. We have wand making, potion school, pumpkin carving plus much more to keep them entertained.

Friday 28 October 2011 - Witchity Walks

7.30pm - 11pm. First ghost walk at Cannington Court. Be prepared to be spooked within the haunted Cannington Court as a team of psychics take you on a journey! Over 16s only. Places are limited, please book to avoid disappointment. £50.

Saturday 29 October 2011 - Insomnia

8pm - 8am. Not for the faint hearted! An expert team will walk you through the history of Cannington Court's buildings before spending the night within the court itself. Over 18s only. Places are limited, please book to avoid disappointment. £90 per person.

10am - 4pm Free entry. Over fifty mystical stalls, healers and therapists from across the South West.

Come along and make a Christmas wreath and displays for your home.

Wednesday 14 December 2011 - Carols by Candlelight

Celebrate Christmas at The Walled Gardens of Cannington with carols, mulled wine, fruit juice and mince pies.

Carols will be performed by the J Singers - an amateur mixed-voice choir based in Bridgwater, who perform across the county at charity fund-raising concerts.
