Cannington Horticultural Group

Get hands-on in the Walled Gardens, with our practical gardening group!

The Cannington Horticultural Group was formed two years ago to give the local community an opportunity to experience the horticultural pleasures of the Walled Gardens of Cannington and to take advantage of the garden experts' knowledge.

The group meets on the second Saturday of each month, to share ideas and to gain practical knowledge in a variety of gardening skills. No commitment or expertise is required - just turn up on the day and join in!

You will have the chance to learn and develop skills in the Walled Gardens and associated glasshouses, in a range of seasonal tasks, including:

• propagation work
• willow weaving
• herbaceous border maintenance
• glasshouse techniques
• tree maintenance
• composting
• plant protection
• lawn maintenance
• general gardening skills.

It doesn't matter if you are a novice, keen amateur or accomplished gardener, there will always be something new to learn.

The group will meet on the following Saturdays: 15 June (please note change of date from 8 June), 13 July, 10 August, 14 September, and costs just £10 per person, per session - 10am - 1pm.
